CURRENT
We are axxon N. Our latest project is a concept album titled “American Beauty Syndrome”. The plot synopsis is as follows:
"A tale that dexterously fuses love, lust, disease and fate, AMERICAN BEAUTY SYNDROME is unlike anything your senses have ever experienced. The story follows a young woman named Ava, who may or may not be stricken with a horrifying and alienating affliction. Filled with spots of clarity and chasms of infinite darkness, Ava’s world is slowly but surely contorted to the confines of her alleged affliction. Will Ava shed her affliction in time to save herself and her sanity, or will she succumb to her destiny to find out who she really is and discover the origins of her suffering? An unequivocal and groundbreaking piece of media from the minds who brought you the album HERE IS NOT BETTER and the film DEAD OHIO SKY, AMERICAN BEAUTY SYNDROME serves as a metaphor for the relationships experienced in our everyday lives and also as an ode to the heartbreak of losing the things we love the most."

This album is a 15 track expedition into the confines of affliction, and was designed to be experienced as a whole. To put in plainly, it’s a concept album. The track listing is as follows… 1) Rapid Eye Queen: The Final Scene
2) Seeds
3) Deity
4) The Lucid
5) Pabst Blue
6) Carbon Doll
7) The Miner’s Canary
8) The Other Sky
9) Girl’s Got Ghosts

13) Of Space and Time II – American Beauty Syndrome
14) Of Space and Time III – Long is the Road

We packaged the disc with a 20-page color booklet complete with original artwork and full lyrics and are currently offering it for free to any of our fans out there. Just PM us here or on myspace or email us your mailing address and we’ll send you a copy of our masterpiece free of charge. When we get around to it, we plan on doing some sort of behind the scenes thing to give some insight on how the album came about and how it evolved from an idea to the finished product. We feel as though the creation of this project was fresh and original, and we are eager to share some of the secrets of our process with all of you. Stay plugged in to our myspace blogs for more information.

HISTORY
So, for all of you who have been living under a rock or an equally dark and secluded place for the past year or so, axxon N. IS the collaborative musical effort of Andrew T. Abraido and Daniel J. Taveras. We are both 20-year-old college students majoring in health science and film, respectively, who share a fervor of creation. This vehemence has led to the production of 2 albums and 1 film.

Our first album, “Here Is Not Better”, was released back in June 2007. It was a 63-minute odyssey of sound with an accompanying 20 page color booklet. The track list was
1) Origin of Elusion
I. Prelude to a Fall
II. The Vanished
2) cynical.
3) Roque
4) The Phantom
5) bD
6) For Saken
7) Jitterslug
8) Comorbid
9) Asymmetrical
10) VIRIAL
11) Love Letters (from a gun)
12) Red Lampshade
13) The Telling of Time
All of these songs were at one point posted here on our myspace, so if you missed them, we apologize.

During the summer of 2007, axxon N. was placed on hiatus and we wrapped up production on our film, “Dead Ohio Sky”, which we started back in 2005. Clocking in at just over 2 hours and 20 minutes, “Dead Ohio Sky” was released in the end of July 2007 and has garnered worldwide critical acclaim (and by worldwide critical acclaim of course we mean that the handful of people that saw it liked it). Due to the extremely experimental and groundbreaking nature of the film, it’s unlikely that “Dead Ohio Sky” will ever make it to your local Cineplex, although Andrew did give his own personal copy of the film to movie mogul Doug Dey (Producer, “Half Nelson”), whom he was introduced to at a party over the summer. Written by Andrew Abraido and produced, shot, cut, directed and everything elsed by Andrew Abraido and Daniel Taveras, the plot summary of “Dead Ohio Sky” was as follows:

“A crime drama in the city that never sleeps. You’ve never seen anything like this before. Seasoned NYPD lieutenant James Pearce has just returned for another stint in the Big Apple. With his eyes on new challenges that await him and his mind on the past that will forever haunt him, James tries to find a balance to save himself and protect the city he loves. But not everything is as it seems…”

If this sounds like a film you’d be interested in seeing, let us know. We released this film as a 2-disc collectors edition complete with the film and a second disc packed with over an hour of behind the scenes special features. We’re pretty sure a feature length film has never been made with just two people doing all the work before, so if you’re curious to see what we did and how we did it, just let us know, it would be an honor to share it. Upon wrapping up production on the film, the two of us took some time off from collaborative projects.

For the month of August, Andrew wrote, produced, and released his solo project Circus for Silence. An 8-track mini-concept album, Circus clocked in at a little over 35 minutes total and has a myspace page of its own (http://www.myspace.com/circusforsilence).

Daniel joined a band with friends he met at school. They wrote their own songs and performed once under the name “Pinedrage” at a club in NYC. They have since changed their name to the more pronounceable “Maybe Robot” and continue to write songs and plan to play more shows with a revolving-door cast of bassists. Maybe Robot proclaims they are influenced by bands who don’t write their own biographies, and since we are writing our own biography, we are glad we will not be influencing them because everyone should find their own ideas and not resort to being influenced by others (http://www.myspace.com/mayberobot)

In October of 2007, we reconvened and hatched a plan for a concept album that turned into “American Beauty Syndrome”. All of the details of this project are listed above.

Thank you for your interest, and, as always…sit back, close your eyes, and let the sounds of axxon N. bury themselves deep into your mind. When you’re done, shut off your fucking computer and do something with your life.
