Cosmic Heat Engine started in 2007 and evolved into the 5 piece it is today. They make rock music that they spent much time writing throughout the lifetime of the band. It first started as a jam between Evan, Carlos, and two acoustic guitars. Cody was soon picked up as a drummer. After that, Kyle was recruited on bass and Stephen on vocals and keyboard. What you're hearing is three years of constant change in writing styles and dynamics; tones and genres; feelings and sensations. Every member of the band puts his unique flavoring to the Cosmic Heat Engine cake. Cody many a time adds a modern rock or reggae feel depending on the song. Kyle pumps his heavy bass lines out or takes his time on creating a melodic blend of slow moving emotion. Evan adds his take on bluegrass and alternative rock while Carlos sprinkles his touch of blues laced classic rock licks. Stephen adds a feel all his own from his unique voice qualities to create melodies that catch not only the attention but imagination of their listeners.

Cosmic Heat Engine plays an energetic live show that is fun for anyone in the midst of their music.

In August 2009, they released their first studio album, Room On The Moon.

They hope to keep playing for years to come, and to spread their music across the globe.
