Must Own Albums

Postby Eagle » Fri Jul 24, 2009 7:53 am

Let’s see if we can get a little bit of activity on here.

Everyone loves to be able to just put in a CD and play it all the way through, but let’s face it those are getting harder and harder to find now days. The pressure to put out albums as fast as you can is causing a lot of mediocre music to be added as filler.
Some of my favorites are:

Coheed and Cambria – Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness

Flaw – Endangered Species

Atreyu – The Curse

Trapt – Only Through the Pain

Breaking Benjamin – Phobia

Red Jumpsuit Apparatus – Don’t you Fake It

Flyleaf – Self Titled

I am sure I will think of more the second I post this.

This list is unfortunately too small as most bands only write a few good songs. I've added mine list below for albums I think are great all the way through in no particular order

Building Rome: Nightmare

Nonpoint: Development (Their least recognized album I realize, so much so that their live album didn't have ONE song from it!!!)

Papa Roach: LoveHateTragedy

Story of the Year: Page Avenue (Yes, I'm from St. Louis and yes it was that good...sorry)

Glasseater: Everything is Beautiful When you Don't Look Down

Useless I.D.: No Vacation From the World

Rise Against: Siren Song of the Counter Culture (Clear your lungs and have a yell fest)

The Receiving Ends of Sirens: The Earth Sings Mi Fa Mi

Tsunami Bomb: The Ultimate Escape

Respira: A Still Silhouette (Obvioulsy I have to include my favorite album from start to finish)

Senses Fail: Still Searching (I'm not sure what they were looking for, but anyone with ears found it here)

Silverstein: When Broken is Easily Fixed

Silverstein: Discovering the Waterfront

Linkin Park: Hybrid Theory (revolutionary)

Silverstein: A Shipwreck in the Sand

Soilwork: Natural Born Chaos (Their signature album)

I think that's about it. I could expand to a lot mroe if we went to 80% good, but all these are great from beginning to end!

Grerat post Respira! I have not listened to some of those albums. I will have to check them out! I am from KC and have lots of friends from St.Louis, so I agree with you about Story of the Year.

Welcome to DR!
