Deity

Friends 10
Deity, are a five piece metal band hailing from Chichester, England. Deity was formed when guitarist Josh Haysom, and drummer Sam Pym, decided they wanted to start a metal band. Their search for members to complete the line up started with Nathan Davies. Nathan accepted their offer, and played guitar alongside Josh.
Their search for the final member/members to complete the line up led to Sam Watkins. Watkins accepted and joined the band to take on bass and vocal duties, but after a couple of months only fulfilled vocals because Josh, Nathan, and Sam, decided it would for the best if he was able to focus souley on his vocal ability. This led them to offer a friend of the band called James Scott, a chance to become bassist. After coming down to a practice session to play along, he accepted their offer, and became bassist for the band.
The band decided that because of increasing tensions after their first couple of shows, it would be for the best to let Watkins go.
After Watkins departure, another friend of the band called Alex Houghton was offered the chance to take on vocal duties.
After coming down to a practice session to growl over the track 'Engulfed In Flames' Alex accepted the offer that was put to him on the spot after a great performance, and became the band's new vocalist.
Ever since Watkins departure, the band has been stronger than ever, creatively and musically.
With many gigs under their belt, and their debut EP available on iTunes now, Deity want to show their fans that they are a hard hitting, take no prisoners, metal band.
Their debut EP entitled 'In Anticipation of The Storm' can be purchased on iTunes for just £2.37.
