In Greed
The story of "In Greed" began in autumn of 2009 when a group of friends, who've known each other since their childhood, began playing as a band. In the beginning the band's lineup consisted of Bojan (guitar), Grega (guitar), Jan (drums) and Ingrid (vocals). Rehearsals were first held in Jan's garage but the acoustics were simply horrible. After a month of just making noise the band moved their practice space into a new room. They started covering songs of artists such as Avril Lavigne, The Cranberries and Foo Fighters.
Because of conflicting interests, Ingrid soon left the band and Domen (bass, vocals) was brought in to replace her. The band was convinced that this was the lineup they've been looking for, but it was soon apparent that an expansion was needed. Bojan and Žiga (guitar) who were colleagues in college and at work were starting to talk about forming a "Paramore cover band" since they both like them. The new project quickly enlisted Ingrid for vocal duties and Jan was asked to play drums. Conflicting interests were once again the reason for the band splitting up with Grega (guitar). Domen (bass) later joined the project as the bassist and back vocalist. The band's current lineup (since spring 2010) consists of Bojan (guitar), Žiga (guitar), Ingrid (vocals), Domen (bass) and Jan (drums).
The name of the band stems from a band meeting at which we wanted to finally agree on a name. After a million of suggestions, someone came up with the idea of a joke name "In Greed" since its pronunciation is very similar to Ingrid's name. The name stuck and the band have been using it ever since. In Greed started off with covers of songs by Paramore, but began writing their own music soon after. After a couple of months of practice, the band recorded their first demo for Crushed Inside with their good friend Danijel Goričan.
After the band's short "practice space renovation" break, the creativity and energy started flowing again. Everyone in the band's very optimistic about their future, since they all share the same love for the music that they play.
