A Midday Atlantic is not just another band. They are not just âsellingâ you something. They believe in every word and every note they play. This music was written for those searching for passion, those searching for meaning, in a world lacking both. A Midday Atlantic began four years ago by singer, Miguel Ramirez and guitarist, Ryan Lunde. After four tours spanning over twenty states, countless shows, member changes, and 2,764 energy drinks, A Midday Atlantic has acquired the taste of success. Joined by guitarist, Jasun Krebs (formerly of As I Lay Dying), bassist, Cameron Austgen, and drummer, Kevin Weiss, they have become an entity, an archetype of great music. They have heard comparisons to many different bands, namely, Further Seems Forever, Jimmy Eat World, and Circa ... Survive. With gorgeous melodies, heavy delayed guitars and orchestrated violin arrangements, they find a way to define themselves in an overcrowded genre. In the winter of 2007, they traveled to Chico, CA to record with Jeff Schneeweis of Number One Gun. Over two weeks of recording brought each member a new understanding of hard work and pushed them to progress personally as well as musically. With this recording they hope to find fans with their music and their message. A Midday Atlantic believes if they can affect one person, then every minute, every show, was a success. They understand that there is more to life than music. But music is the soundtrack to which we can live. And they aspire to make music on this soundtrack.
