Go astray...âoff the known roadâ...this is what parties break hearts did in 2008, when they signed a record deal with England based Lockjaw Records (first label of the band MUSE) to release their debut album entitled âLife is too short to dance with ugly peopleâ. The path that leads abroad is one that requires bravery, let alone a chance to follow it, something earned only by the fewest Swiss bands. Following the recordâs release in Great Britain, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, parties break hearts had the chance to tour throughout these countries with Die Happy, Senses Fail and The Flatliners among others. Touring led the band to play also at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, hometown of the Beatles. The single âgo astrayâ will be released on 01.10.2009 as an exclusive free download on the internet and as part of the Swiss radiosâ rotation. The song tells the story behind departing into the distance and the unknown. It poses the question âHow did we come this far?â which reflects the nostalgic longing for home, the place where everything began. âgo astrayâ is a song by a band that dared taking a massive step, made new experiences and learned through them. Now they are back home and this is yet only the beginningâ¦
