There are 2 artists with the name Sideproject: 1) Jay Slack has been writing electronic music for over 8 years. His first and only band being NCC. Over time he has collected tracks which didnt fit the mold of NCC, so the inevitable Sideproject begins. Influences range from metal, to trance, to industrial, to hip hop, to drum and bass, to more organic types of music like folk and acoustic he can only promise one thing, and that's nothing. "I can't say what the next track I do will sound like, most likely it wont sound like the one before it...you like it, or you dont." 2) Sideproject formed in early 2006 when a group of friends from different Cork bands and a Kerry ringleader came together to persue the sole aim of writing some music. The band in its first gig won its heat of the UCC BOTBs ... 2006. A 3 track EP 'Take Shelter From The Stars' was recorded and launched on the 18th Jan. The past few months have been really busy for the band following the launch and the band has shared the stage with superb acts such as God Is An Astronaut, REST and Fight Like Apes. This Summer will see the band embark on their first tour.
