I'm a professional artist and sculptor; been doing that for about ten years. Working on my second novel, first in a series for the title. My work and my writing take up most of my time, but when I'm not doing that I spend my time with my boys; 8 and 15 years-old. They're just far enough apart in age to be the ultimate pain in the ass when you put them together, but I love them more than anything. If you're looking at my profile pic, that's them!
My current in-progress novel is a werewolf/vampire thing. Maybe a slightly played-out concept at the moment, but I've had this idea for more years than I can recall; figured this might be the right time to organize all those random little bits in my head and write it down. hopefully, I'm putting a new spin on it that's somewhat fresh. I'm also stripping down and reworking my first book, hopefully that works; it's a puzzle with no photo to build from at the moment. Also writing a Michael Myers/Batman crossover thing for my agent; weird idea I know, it was his.
As for the work that pays me, that's where the sculpting and design thing comes in. I make 12" action figures of popular characters from movies and comic books. Honestly, not really my thing; I'm not a collector but I really enjoy the artistic creation and design side of it immensely; just not the finished product. I'm starting to branch out from it a bit, finally; latex masks and such. I might create some merchandise for my werewolf book to promote the thing.
I have a website for my work and I'm planning a site for the book. I don't subscribe to Facebook or My Space, though; too popular, too gay. AND.. I definitely do NOT "tweet".
