SOUNDKRAFT
The history of Acoustic Rock band 'Soundkraft ' is one of trial and error and meeting the right people at the right time. A band that combines a wealth of musical experience, influences of alternative rock and folk music and not to mention English, Welsh, Irish and Peruvian nationalities.
The music has been described as energetic yet melodic acoustic rock with an alternative vibe. Coming from very different backgrounds and musical influences has helped to make the sound of the band a refreshing change from the norm.
Why Soundkraft? In one word, Soundkraft signifies the whole purpose of this band, to “make” great music and respect music as a form of art and self expressiveness. In German the word “Kraft” means power, and although the band’s overall sound is very melodic, power and energy are key elements to Soundkraft’s sound.
The band has built a solid reputation on the London circuit, building on gigs at venues such as the Dublin Castle, the Metro, Islington Academy, Sound, the Clapham Grand and other well established venues. Appearances at outdoor events such as Guilfest can also be added to their performance portfolio.
Soundkraft has evolved into a consistent, reliable, hard working, creative band, not shy of doing everything in their power to satisfy the fans, put on a good show and put word around that the band is here to stay.
With many gigs already in the pipeline for the rest of 2009, the band's main focus is to perform on as varied a stage as possible. From London to Liverpool, Newcastle and the rest of Europe, the band will be striving to put their music out to as many people as possible.
Their MySpace fanbase is a credit to the work put in by the band, with over 140,000 hits and thousands of plays, not to mention a current friend count in the region of 29,000. The band intends to build upon this success in other digital arenas such as Facebook, Bebo, Twitter and other main stream online music social sites. The band recognises the need to embrace the online revolution and sees this, coupled with live performances, as the only way forward.
